Folgenden Brief sendeten wir (die großartige Paula Stippe, Englands wunderbarster Tierrechtsexport nach Wien, sorgte für eine fehlerfreie Übersetzung, herzlichsten Dank!!!!) nun nach Bukarest: Dear President Bãsescu, dear members of the Government, Please allow me to introduce ourselves to you – We are the animal protection organisation ‚RespekTiere‘ from Salzburg in Austria. For many years now, we have been trying to work together to address the problem of stay animals in your country. It has always been an honour to offer our assistance, especially since 2008, when Romania discontinued the killing of these animals. However, since November 2011 there has been new cause for concern. Unfortunately, your Parliament is in the process of passing a law which allows horrific practices to be carried on stay animals that were a part of times gone by. We at ‚RespekTiere‘ have asked people to show their commitment to humane treatment of stay animals by taking photographs of themselves holding a banner protesting the planned law next to their town’s road sign. We are pleased to present these messages to you from hundreds of concerned individuals from far and wide. In addition, we have organised an online web-album as well as protests which are taking place outside numerous Romanian embassies. President Bãsescu, members of the Government, we beg of you, please choose the non-violent approach, the humane approach. We, the animal protection organisations, in return give you our word that we will stand by you and support you in all your efforts towards a humane solution. Am kommenden Samstag veranstalten wir eine Kundgebung gegen Pelz in Kitzbühel zum Anlass des Polo-Turniers, wo sich die Prominenz trifft!
